Daily Motivation: Being Present and Appreciative

The Irish say "May you live in interesting times"and what interesting times are these indeed! Who would have guessed a couple of months ago that the world would undergo so many changes so quickly. During these times it is so easy to lose your motivation, hope and focus. Many people have been severely negatively affected by the Covid-19 crisis and it is really normal and understandable to sometimes feel like giving up. It is in these times though that appreciating the small things in live make such a huge difference. Taking some time and appreciating how the colour of the leaves change or watching a beautiful sunset can soothe the soul and give you the hope and energy to continue. The smile from a loved one or the friendly greeting or smile from a stranger serve as reminder that there is so much good in the world. Engage your senses and be in the moment - after all yesterday is History, tomorrow is a Mystery that is why today is called the Present. The fact that you are living means there is hope and a future for you and although you may not see a way out, there always is one if you manage to go through the valley of darkness. Take some time today and everyday thereafter to appreciate at least 2 things in your life that you are truly thankful for and lets extend that hand of support and humanness to those around us today so that we can change the world positively one step at a time.
